Afternoon Tea tickets available from Monday 12th October 2026

We are delighted to announce that Afternoon Tea is returning for UK PonyCon 2026, and to share the news that tickets will be released to sponsors at 6pm on Monday 12th October and to everyone else at 6pm on Wednesday 14th October.

Afternoon Tea is one of the highlights of the weekend, offering a relaxed hour to enjoy delicious food, catch up with friends and fellow fans, and to make special memories together. This year’s Afternoon Tea will take place on Saturday the 31st of October 2026 from 13:45 to 14:45 in Monty’s, (1:45pm-2:45pm) Which is De Montfort University’s central lounge and social space.

What’s included

Served at shared tables, mostly in groups of six people.

To eat:

• Delicate finger sandwiches

  • Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese and Dill

  • Egg Mayonnaise (vegetarian)

  • Coronation Chicken

  • Hummus, Carrot and Plum Chutney (vegetarian)

  • Plain Ham

  • Plain Cheese (vegetarian)

• Savoury bites

  • Mini Pork Pies

  • Cheese and Onion Rolls (vegetarian)

• A selection of cakes

• Homemade scones with jams and clotted cream (plain, sultana, cherry)

To drink:

• Tea

  • English Breakfast

  • Early Grey

  • Green Tea

  • Fruit Teas

• Coffee

• Water

• For an additional charge of £9.00, one glass of prosecco (ages 18+, and this option must be selected at purchase)

To treasure:

• Souvenir keyring

• Photos, shared on our social media after the convention

Special guests

Our special guests (Andrea Libman, Imalou & Tabitha St Germain) will be joining us at the Afternoon Tea and will spend most of their time seated with the Gold and Platinum Sponsors. Please note that there will not be dedicated time for autographs or photographs during this event. If you would like to meet the special guests, please book a slot for the scheduled autograph and photograph sessions.

Dietary requirements

Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and most dietary requirements can be accommodated. Food is prepared in a busy kitchen and cannot be guaranteed to be free from trace allergens. Please share your dietary requirements when you purchase your ticket so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Prosecco add-on

For an extra treat, you can add a glass of prosecco to your Afternoon Tea for just £9. Please note that there is a limit of one glass per Afternoon Tea attendee, you must be 18 or over to purchase this option, and a Challenge 25 policy will be in place. If you are fortunate enough to look under 25, please bring proof of age to avoid disappointment.

Venue

This year’s Afternoon Tea event takes place at Monty’s. Refurbished over the summer of 2026, this is De Montfort University’s new central lounge and social space.

The route from the main UK PonyCon venue to Monty’s is approximately 500 metres on footpaths, involving crossing some minor roads. Monty’s has its own toilets, including accessible toilets.

Personal assistant tickets

If you are bringing a personal assistant (carer) with you to UK PonyCon and would like them to join you at the Afternoon Tea, you should purchase a full-price Afternoon Tea ticket for them so that they can eat and drink with you. If your personal assistant will not be eating or drinking, we offer a non-dining personal assistant ticket free of charge. This ensures a space is reserved for them so they can accompany you, while helping us manage the limited capacity. When purchasing your Afternoon Tea ticket, please make sure to request the correct type of personal assistant ticket so we can plan seating accordingly.

Tickets and pricing

Tickets for Afternoon Tea cost £32 per person or £41 with a glass of prosecco. Capacity is limited to 115 people in total, and we expect tickets to sell quickly based on previous years.

How to book

Tickets will be released in two waves. Approximately half of the available tickets will be released in the first wave for sponsor early access, and all remaining tickets released in the second wave.

• Sponsor early access: Bronze and Silver sponsors will receive an email today with details for how to purchase a ticket for themselves and up to one other person from 18:00 on Monday 12th October 2026. Details will also be shared in the sponsor channels of the UK PonyCon Discord server.

  • When booking a ticket to our Afternoon Tea, Sponsors may purchase a second ticket for a +1, which allows you to bring one person with you to our Afternoon Tea event. This is priced exactly the same as listed above. It just means you are purchasing two tickets, at the same time, instead of one - and it means you can bring a friend!

• General release: Tickets will go on sale to everyone else from 18:00 on Wednesday 14th October 2026, via the UK PonyCon shop at https://www.ukponycon.co.uk/shop
