UK PONYCON 2026 - DATES, LOCATION & THEME!
UK PonyCon is BACK for 2026 - and with a brand new venue! Departing Birmingham, UK PonyCon continues it’s travels, this time over to LEICESTER!
You can join us for UK PonyCon 2026 which will take place between Friday the 30th of October, into Saturday the 31st of October (Halloween!) and concluding on Sunday the 1st of November. UK PonyCon’s adventure to Leicester this time takes us to De Montfort University. Where we will be housed at ‘The Venue@DMU’ (More information available HERE ) Which is a purpose built events space, that we are extremely excited to host our convention at! ‘The Venue@DMU’ is situated at 20 Western Boulevard with a postcode of: LE2 7BU!
Some exciting news regarding our venue, is the following:
Increased attendance and massively increased floor space compared to the Birmingham Conference and Events Center!
We will be increasing the amount of stalls available at UK PonyCon 2026, We will also be once again readily offering double tables!
No stalls will be situated inside the mane stage area. In fact, Stalls will be in a opposite building to panels and events. A building mere steps away which will be locked at night for safety and security of stallholders. Meaning that during our music concerts, attendees will be entirely separated away from having access to any tables. The stallholder building will also have access to it’s own cafe, for the convenience of stallholders & shoppers!
All publicly accessible convention spaces will be on the ground level. With no steps or lifts required!
Our new venue, Also includes a variety of gendered and gender neutral bathrooms for the convenience of attendees. The Venue@DMU also has accessible bathrooms aplenty!
It’s been over a decade since UK PonyCon was in Leicester, with our ‘space’ theme in 2015, We are now back in the city, and this time with a brand new theme…..
TRICK VS TREAT!
Embracing the fact that we have a UK PonyCon that is taking place over the Halloween weekend, we are DELIGHTED to reveal that our theme is Trick VS Treat! Britannia has been getting into BOTH sides of the theme in our reveal artwork created by DashieNova! But what do we mean when we say Trick VS Treat?
TRICK
It’s time to add a little mischief to proceedings!
With TRICK we are embracing the spooky, the gothic, and the fun of Nightmare Night! Come forth tricksters, We want to see you embracing our theme in art & cosplay! We want to see bat ponies, Discord causing chaos! Pumpkin Tart and Abra-ca-dabra! Monsters, ghoulies, creepy crawlies, sweet treats and a chill in the air! Cobwebs and cauldrons, Colours like purples, oranges, greens, reds, or even the black of a night sky!
We want costumes and creations inspired by ‘Halloween’ in My Little Pony, We would love to see our attendees embracing TRICK and/or TREAT, Because you can choose a specific team, or enjoy both!
Please however be aware that UK PonyCon is a family friendly convention, our ‘tricks’ should not be pranks, or anything designed to startle, scare, upset or frighten any attendee. Mischievous, but not mean!
TREAT
TREAT embraces the lighter side of life. Sweet treats and yummy eats! TREAT loves pastel’s and bright vibrant colours. Candy and Crayons! Rainbows, Mermaids and Unicorns. Cotton Candy, Lollipops and cake!
We cannot wait to see our attendees choosing to embrace TREAT as well as TRICK! Taking inspiration from Pinkie Pie and her Sugar Cube Corner or Sweet Treats, Fizzy and Gingerbread the twinkle eye ponies! TREAT Often uses colours like Pink, Blue, Yellow, Any colour of the rainbow - Or all of them at once! Love hearts and stars, Sprinkles and GLITTER! TREAT is all about the aesthetic, and the good vibes!
TREAT is as much of our theme as TRICK is! So feel free to inspire your cosplays, art and look, around one, or the other, or both! We want to see those Cotton Candy’s, Fizzy Pop’s, Party Cake’s, Rainbow Treat’s, Swirly Pop’s, Candy Heart’s, Giggle Bean’s, Goody Gumdrop’s, Sweet Sparkle’s and Sweetie Belles in 2026!
We know that attendees will be anxious for more news, such as the dates tickets will be available to purchase, as well as prices for tickets and tables. Special Guests, Applications for events and volunteers. As well as a whole host of queries.
